It's time to think about having your pets vaccinated for rabies. The Washington Township Health Department would like to remind pet owners to check their pet's vaccination status. If your dog or cat is due for a rabies booster, remember that any resident of NJ can take their pet to any municipality's free rabies clinic for that booster. Click here for a listing of Free Rabies Clinics scheduled for October and November in Morris County. You can also call the Health Department at 908-876-3650 for clinics scheduled in other counties.
Washington Township will hold its Free Rabies Clinic on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 9:00am - 11:00am at the DPW building at 54 Rock Rd. in Long Valley.
Please remember that domestic pets must be licensed with their municipality annually during the month of January. In order to license your pet, his/her rabies vaccination cannot expire prior to November 1st of the licensing year. If your pet's current vaccination expires prior to November 1, 2020, please consider attending one of the Free Rabies Clinics in the area or visit your local veterinarian.
