14th Annual WMC Memorial Turkey Trot (UPDATE)

 THANKSGIVING DAY NOVEMBER 26, 2020

The 14th annual WMC Memorial Turkey Trot will be held live at West Morris Central High School, 259 Bartley Rd., Chester, NJ.   Due to Covid-19 conditions, there will be several important changes to note for this year’s event. 

All participants must pre-register on-line at www.wmcturkeytrot.com on or before      Tuesday, 11/24.

The race is subject to the current Covid-19 guidelines of the State of NJ, WMCHS, and Washington Township.   Monitor the above website each day to confirm the status of the race.

Please consider the $25 registration fee as a donation in the event the race is canceled due to COVID-19 related restrictions.

Participation is limited to 125 persons and no spectators are permitted unless they are essential to the participant, i.e. parents/guardians of children.

All persons must arrive at the Bartley Rd. entrance and follow directions of volunteers.   Arrive by 7:30am to allow for completion of check-in process.

All persons must wear a mask when not running, maintain social distance,  complete a health questionnaire and liability waiver.  Each person will also be temperature checked as they enter the campus.  

Persons subject to NJ quarantine requirements cannot participate unless their quarantine period has successfully ended.

The race will begin at 8am with runners staged in groups to promote social distancing.   Follow the directions of race officials on-site.

There will be no ceremonies or on-site services other than use of the restrooms in the field house.  Race results will be posted on the above website.

This event funds the Kyleigh D’Alessio, Tanner Birch, and Stephen Berstler memorial scholarship awards, recreational projects, and Project Graduation at West Morris Central High School.  

The Turkey Trot is a collaboration of WMCHS and the Washington Township Recreation Department.    Your participation and donations are greatly appreciated.
