Notice to Bidders - Long Hill Road & Brook Lawn Drive

 

 

RE-BID NOTICE TO BIDDER   

TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON

 

Notice is hereby given that this project is being re-bid and that sealed bids will be received by the Township Clerk of the Township of Washington in the County of Morris, 43 Schooley’s Mountain Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853 on July 9, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the bid opening will be held electronically using ZOOM, a cloud-based audio-conferencing tool with computer and telephone access. Access directions will be published on the Township’s websitewww.wtmorris.net.

 

BROOK LAWN DRIVE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (RE-BID)

 

The work to be performed under this contract includes approximately 5,540 square yards of milling; 640 tons of HMA surface course, approximately 200 linear feet of traffic striping, 102 square feet of traffic markings, pavement removal, stormwater inlet repairs and upgrades and other incidental work along Brook Lawn Drive.

 

LONG HILL ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (RE-BID)

 

The work to be performed under this contract includes approximately 6,790 square yards of milling; 1195 tons of HMA surface course, 75 linear feet of curb repair, pavement removal, stormwater inlet repairs and upgrades and other incidental work along Long Hill Road.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  or may be obtained beginning on Monday, June 22, 2020 at the office of the Township Engineer located at 180 Main Street, Chester, New Jersey, (908) 879-6209, between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, prevailing time, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays, upon payment of $50.00, payable to Ferriero Engineering, Inc., said sum not refundable.

Each bid must be made on the prescribed forms furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including Non-collusion Affidavit, and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, and not to exceed $20,000.00. 

Bids may be submitted by mail, but will be considered only if received on or before such date and time. The Township will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded through the mail if lost in transit at anytime before the bid opening. No bids will be received after the time set forth above.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of PL 1975, c.127 (NJAC 17:27), and PL 1977, c.33.  Bidders are required to comply with the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate Law, P.L. 2004,c. 57.  Bidders are required to comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, P.L. 1999,c. 238.

The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive immaterial informalities, and/or to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the Township, will be in the best interest of the Township, all in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contract Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.
