Township Update - May 20, 2020
May 20, 2020 - We have no new cases to report today. Our total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Washington Township remains at 109. The number of deaths remains at 12 but 18 more cases were removed from isolation, for a total of 53.
Governor Murphy signed Executive Order No. 147, allowing certain outdoor activities at recreational businesses, including archery ranges, batting cages, golf driving ranges, horseback riding, shooting ranges, and tennis clubs as well as community gardens to open with required social distancing measures in place. Also starting at 6:00 AM today, an administrative order was issued to allow for in-person sales to resume for Car and motorcycle dealerships and Bicycle shops.
All New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission agencies, road testing, and inspection facilities remain closed to the public. However, the Governor announced yesterday that, effective immediately, the following documents, if expiring between March 13 and May 31, have been extended to July 31. Documents expiring June 30 are extended two months to August 31, and those expiring July 31 are extended to September 30. Visit https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/ for more info.
