Governor Signs Executive Order Requiring Individuals to Wear Masks in Outdoor Public Spaces When They Cannot Social Distance
On July 8, 2020 Governor Murphy signed Executive Order 163 requiring individuals to wear masks in outdoor public spaces when they cannot social distance. The requirement "shall not apply when wearing a face covering would inhibit that individual’s health, including when engaging in high intensity aerobic or anaerobic activities, when in the water, and in other situations where the presence of a mask would pose a risk to the individual’s safety, or where the individual is under two years of age."
